In a SIP (Systematic Investment Plan), you invest a fixed amount in a mutual fund every month. This averages out the ups and downs of the market and gives you the benefit of compounding.
FV = P × [((1 + i)ⁿ − 1) ÷ i] × (1 + i), where P is the monthly amount, i is the monthly return (annual ÷ 12 ÷ 100), and n is the total number of months.
In this, you increase your SIP amount by a fixed percentage every year, for example as your salary grows. Over the long term, this builds a much larger corpus.
