How the Upgrade System Works

If you already own a lower-tier plan and want to move to a higher one, our upgrade system lets you pay only the difference amount plus GST — no need to pay the full price of the new plan. For example, if you have purchased the Reporter ID plan (₹999) and want to upgrade to Reporter ID + Mic (₹3,499), you only pay ₹2,500 + GST. This makes upgrading affordable and encourages our reporters to grow their toolkit as their career progresses.

Upgrade eligibility is calculated automatically when you click "Book Now" on a higher plan. Our system compares your current plan level with the target plan level and displays the exact difference amount you need to pay. You will see a detailed price comparison popup before you proceed to payment.

  2. Enter Full Address: A form slides open within the card. Enter your complete delivery address (house number, street, area, city, state, and pincode).
  3. Review the Amount: A confirmation popup shows your base amount, GST (18%), and total payable amount. If you are upgrading, you will also see the difference calculation.
  4. Scan & Pay: A QR code modal opens. Scan the QR with any UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) and complete the payment.
  5. Upload Screenshot: Take a screenshot of your successful payment and upload it in the modal (maximum 2MB).
  6. Submit for Verification: Click "Submit Payment Proof". Your order goes into pending verification status.
